Brian McG is currently on the Fulmar Platform and was diving with Coatbridge SAC today and told us about one of the Sat Diver's encounters with a Porbeagle Shark. This guy must be one of the clamest individuals I know to react the way he does with a big shark like this coming at you out of the gloom.

The largest wreck salvage operation ever undertaken. Compressed air was forced through shafts fixed to the hulls of the ship causing them to rise.
The loch is a wide sided gully with a coarse sandy bottom, which is home to a wide variety of hermit crabs, flat fish and starfish. The steep walls with deep fissures and ledges also house Norwegian squat lobsters and in the early season (march to may ), male lumpsuckers can sometimes be found diligently guarding the eggs that have been laid by the larger female.
On Saturday 28th February 2009, Coatbridge SSAC and Vale Royal BSAC from Cheshire met at The Caves, Loch Long. Did some great diving and even had Robert the Chef with us.

This is from the Jean Elaine in September 2007. Being the sister ship of the Sharon Rose it provides a good indication of what to expect. In addition, the time of year is similar so viz, sea and weather conditions etc. are hopefully comparable.
On the 20th April 2008, Jim G, Gavin J, Joe W, Ian M and myself did a wreck dive of the SS Breda which lies in Ardmucknish Bay, the Firth of Lorn, near Oban. The viz was excellent as was the weather. I've linked this vid to the DiversInc Youtube site. Checkout the fact sheet on Divernet magazine: http://www.divernet.com/cgi-bin/articles.pl?id=2095&sc=1024&ac=d
